The ‘A-Measurement’
The size of awning needed to fit any particular caravan depends on the A-Measurement – the distance, in centimetres, from the ground, around the awning rail and back to the ground. This can easily be measured following the above diagram.

Porch Awnings
It is sometimes advisable to check where the porch will fit on your caravan, to see if the sides might interfere with any windows, doors, hatches etc. that you might want to have open when the porch is erected.
L: Maximum length of Porch Awning
H: Height of awning rail from ground.
X1: Second side window will clash with porch side when erected
X2: Caravan door will open into side of porch.
