The Kampa Dometic Touring Air VW Drive-Away Awning is one to look out for to get extra space when travelling with your motorhome or Camper van.

The Touring model is available in 3 rail-height sizes:

VW: 180-210cm (this size is also available in the Classic version)

Standard: L 205-235cm

Tall: XL 230-295cm

The Touring Drive-Away Awning design comes from Kampa’s Hayling tent model, which has been very popular in the last few years, and now they have brought it out in a drive-away version.

The Touring awning comes complete with a 4-berth inner tent that can be divided into 2 x 2-berth compartments with a zipped divide or just used for storage, fully sewn-in groundsheet, zip-up curtains, mesh doors, storage pockets, front and side doors plus a door in the drive-away tunnel. The large connecting tunnel can easily be attached to your vehicle, has a large door on the side and is spacious enough to be used for additional storage. The Touring has a large front canopy, providing protection from both good and bad weather and allows the front door to be opened when it’s raining. Once inside, you’ll find a huge living space that has plenty of windows – all with zip-up blinds – and three doors, all with mosquito-mesh screens.

This awning is made from a 150-denier polyester material, so is great for camping weekends, festivals and holidays away. There are also a number of optional extras available for this model – an extension canopy to extend your tent, an optional vestibule which closes off the front of your tent, giving you more room, Carpet and Footprint to protect your groundsheet.

The VW-size is also available in a Classic model, made with breathable polycotton material, which is preferable if you’re going away for longer periods of time in hotter countries.

Overall, this awning is a great size, lightweight, made from a good material, is easy to pitch with the fast-inflation air tubes and is packed full of features.
